Cookie consent
The map search loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap and sends the search request to DHL. Both transfer data to third parties, so by default the search is only available after the customer's consent (Cookie request required, default: on). Without consent the button Search Packstation/Post office stays disabled; manual input always works.
Shopware cookie banner
Without a consent management platform (CMP) the plugin uses Shopware's cookie banner. It adds the entry Open Street Map (packstation / post office search) to the group Comfort features, technically the cookie packstation-map-osm. As soon as the customer accepts the group or the entry, the search button becomes active without reloading the page. The link Open cookie settings below the button opens the banner.

Consent management platforms
If a CMP is embedded in the storefront, the plugin detects it with Consent provider = Auto detect in this order: consentmanager.net, Usercentrics, Cookiebot, Shopware banner. Alternatively the provider can be set explicitly. Consent target type and Consent target key define which consent unlocks the search:

For the mapping to work, the purpose, category or service must exist in the CMP; OpenStreetMap has to be set up there as its own service or as part of a purpose. The plugin reacts to consent changes immediately; after accepting in the CMP dialog the search button becomes active.

Without consent
With Cookie request required = off the search is available right away. The map then loads tiles from OpenStreetMap servers when the search opens; whether this is permissible without consent should be clarified with your data protection officer.
Verifying it works
- Open the storefront in a private window, reject consent, create a shipping address and select Packstation/Post office: the search button must be disabled and the note with the link to the cookie settings must appear.
- Give consent via the link: the button becomes active without reloading the page.
