Shipping methods and rules
The plugin adds the condition Shipping to Packstation to the rule builder (Settings → Shop → Rule builder). It is true when the customer's active shipping address is a Packstation or post office and can be configured with Yes / No.
Typical rules:
| Goal | Rule | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Only DHL to Packstations | Shipping to Packstation = Yes | As availability rule of the DHL shipping method; give other shipping methods the rule Shipping to Packstation = No. Freight carriers or Hermes cannot deliver to a DHL Packstation. |
| No cash on delivery to Packstations | Shipping to Packstation = No | As availability rule of the cash-on-delivery payment method. |
| No bulky goods surcharge to Packstations | Shipping to Packstation = Yes | In price matrices or shipping cost rules. |
| Promotions | Shipping to Packstation = Yes | E.g. free shipping to Packstations. |
The condition only applies in the checkout context (cart, shipping and payment methods, promotions). It can be combined with other conditions, e.g. Cart weight, to add your own weight limits.
Order of steps in checkout
The customer picks the shipping address before the shipping method. If a rule excludes the previously selected shipping method, Shopware automatically switches to the first available one.
